Introduction

Today the American educational system is getting worse with every year. Teachers in the U.S. schools cannot provide children with the appropriate skills which are needed for their future education. But children in Asian countries are showing high results on their tests, and Asian countries are “beating the pants off us in the educational arena.” Moreover, work performance in the U.S. is very poor after graduation, for American students keep failing in Math and Science in high school. It is conspicuous that the U.S. educational system should adopt some Asian techniques in teaching, but there are some methods which must not be changed because of cultural differences.

The U.S. educational system has inappropriate teaching styles and techniques in contrast with Asia. First of all, teachers in America do not know how to teach their subjects and they are not trained appropriately. According to William Robinson's essay, teachers are trying to cover too much, so as a result children are not able to comprehend and remember a topic, for a lot of information confuses children. American teachers just jump from one topic to another, so some students have problems remembering information. Also teachers in the U.S. do not know how to teach efficiently so the children could learn. On the other hand, Asian teachers focus only on one topic and discuss this topic till everybody in a class comprehends it. In contrast, Asian teachers created the teacher-development programs.

Today the American education system is no longer the best in the world. With falling check scores and poor academic achievement, persons have questioned if our present educational system is working for us? On the other edge of the Pacific, the situation is completely different. Students of Asian nations achieve higher learned achievements, and they rank at the top on numbers and science tests. If their informative system is better than the U.S system, should we take up their informative system or not? America is the land of opening, which is famous for its popular humanity and exclusive culture. A person in America likes to be free, to do whatever they desire to do without any restrictions.
