Mission statements and Vision statements are the words chosen by the leaders to clearly and concisely state the direction of the organization. According to Jack and Suzy Welch, many organizations launch big mission statements at the starting, however, after few years when their missions do not deliver to the extent they had hoped. It happens because of two basic reasons: one is that only few leaders admit that their approach to the market is seem to be tanking and second, few leaders actually understand the point of forging a mission with real meaning (www.businessweek.com).
