Construction QS Management

Introduction

The construction of project management is the overall planning, coordination and control of a project from start to finish, designed to meet the needs of a client in order to produce a functional and financially viable, be completed on time within authorized cost and the required quality standard. Project management is the process by which it has proposed a project to fruition.

Conceptually, the planning process is a collective activity in which the organization operates in the construction project for a certain time, through the implementation of strategies, the use of resources, with the intention of achieving certain objectives.

On the other hand, the planning process is carried out through four stages, each of which considers different levels of study.

The development of the plan includes project analysis, policy level that defines its scope, expressed through goals, strategies and resources, and the operational level that corresponds to the preparation of programs to achieve the objectives. In the preparation stage of the means of implementation, through the implementation level, measures are taken to ensure a successful outcome of the implementation of the plan.

The implementation is the stage in which the plan takes effect, according to the operational level and which has implemented programs. In the last stage of the process is carried out to monitor implementation and evaluate the results. One aspect of the process to be highlighted is that the stages and levels, as appropriate, apply to every stage of the project, namely the feasibility study for the development of projects and designs, and course construction. (Morris, 2004, Pp. 49-59)

Another consideration is that the process is similar and valid in complex projects, medium and small. The functions of the organization and procedures are the same in each case but the organizational structure varies according to type and size of the project.

The planning process described here, more or less corresponds to what is usually applied in the practice of construction planning and mentioning it is an act of ratification. The novelty of the scope that is being proposed in this approach may be, in the predisposition must be members of the organization in some complements the process and the rules and conditions must be met to consider and plan.

The importance of standards is that, as the fulfillment of, the process will be adequate and satisfactory results. Planning should be appropriate to every construction project in particular. The process will be better when they have more experience in planning of various types of projects. (Hendrickson, 2008, Pp. 10-25)

The planning process is a unit that must be maintained to ensure their effectiveness, i.e., four steps must be met and established levels of the process entirely. The plan for the project will benefit from optimizing the overlap between consecutive steps, to save time. All aspects of the planning process must be articulated with each other, so-matched and there is no contradiction between them. The planning will be well when there is correspondence between the objectives, strategies ...
