Unit 5

Accurate understanding of content drawn from Christianity

Specific religious information needed for Year 9 KS3 Class

It is important to teach children the core values of Christianity for Year 9 KS3 class, and for the teacher is necessary that he or she is well aware of the basic concepts of Christianity. The affinity of the Christian faith with the human soul can easily develop in younger children, and build on their education. Christian education has nothing to do with education, which we have in the various educational institutions: schools, high schools and universities. There, people are taught, usually at a certain life span, and are trained on the basis of existing knowledge and to obtain certain skills. And in Christian education, things are quite different, Christian education is people, from the very young age to very old people and very often in a lifetime. Christian education at its core has only one goal - to the knowledge of God. Based on this, Christian education has a number of specific features. First, it is divided by age categories: children's ministry, youth and adult education. Second, youth education can be divided in the formation of the church in youth ministry and Christian education in various educational institutions (seminaries, Bible schools and colleges). Christian Education Adult education is also divided into the church through the preaching, Bible courses and education in home groups, which are created by a community of interests (Copley, 1997, pp. 178-180).

The maximum effect in the child's education can be achieved if this education will be integrated, if in the process of Christian education will be involved not only the church, but also parents and the public school (Davey, 1994, pp. 43-38). But this ideal, which is currently achieved, is unfortunately very difficult. But if the children get proper education in the church, the Christian world, it is often followed them to come to God and their parents. They say, "If God is so changed my child, it changed me." Therefore, the Christian education of the children in the church should be given due attention. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Reflection on religious content of RE lessons

I believe that RE lessons are important for children in making them better understand religion in totality, and also allow them to comprehend and appreciate the differences which exist in the different religions of the world.

Children are brought up and grow in different conditions, in different families, and so each child should be approached individually, with all its features, achieving child, leading him to Jesus Christ and to grow in God's Word. This task is necessary to pay attention to some points that are common to the educational process with all the kids (Wimberley & Christenson, 1980, ...
