Culture and Innovation in Organizations



Abstract

This assignment will include a review of theories of the nature of organisational culture, including how it may impact on innovation, and how it may be affected by the leaders of an organization. This will be followed by an examination of how culture influences behaviours related to innovation and change in the organisation. Finally this assignment will include a recommendation on strategies and actions that could be implemented by my organisation leader to enhance or create an appropriate culture.

Culture and Changing Organizational

The trends that guide the development of the contemporary world determine the changes, ie, new attitudes in companies , such as the globalization of the economy , the conscious environmentalist, accelerating privatization , strategic alliances and technological advancement, make up an unavoidable set of conditions that affect organizations . The strategy that best interprets the responses to the demands of the changing and complex environment is summarized in competitiveness (Sopow, 2007, 104).

Nature of change in organizational culture

It is in the nature of organizations, they change over time and, therefore, managers, by definition, must be trying to manage change in a proactive . According to this, the very survival of an organization may depend on how they adapt to the culture environment of rapid change. From this premise, organizations that remain to be competitive in the pursuit of excellence through the acquisition of new knowledge that will enable them to keep pace with the environment and, in turn, make a commitment to know the degree of integration and diversification of skills , so you can, use the tools that enable them to structure an adequate portfolio of products and / or services (Williams, 2009, 234).

Within the framework described above, these are strategies that all management should take to achieving success in reaching the goals established along the lines predetermined by the vision of the organization.

Implications of changing the culture

Changing the culture involves a modification of a state , condition or situation. Feature is a transformation, a change of dimensions or aspects more or less significant. The current picture of the organizations is presented and full of radical changes at a rate unprecedented in the history of mankind.To the extent that changes become a permanent factor and accelerated the adaptability of the individual such organizational changes is increasingly decisive in the survival of any company.

Considering this as a constant, the reality can conclude the following: organizations present challenges and have demonstrated that this is who most aggressively adapt to new realities, that science modern management make sense when applied properly, that future challenges can be overcome when we become aware of the role of innovation in a changing environment.
