Cycle of enzymes

Photosynthesis is a chemical process during which plants along with the energy from the sunlight, convert carbon dioxide into natural compounds. Plants produce their food by the process of photosynthesis. Basically, Photosynthesis occurs in two stages. These stages are called the dark and light reactions. The light reactions are the one which take place in the presence of light. While, dark reactions not necessarily require direct light. In plants, dark reactions occur during the day. Carbon dioxide water, light, chlorophyll and are the essential requirements for the photosynthesis process.

Aerobic respiration is a process of cellular respiration in which oxygen is broken down in order to release energy. One of the byproduct produced during this process id ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) which is responsible for storing energy.

Photosynthesis and respiration are interlinked with one another (Michaelis, 1913). Photosynthesis provides us with oxygen which helps us in breathing process which is required for our life. We inhale carbon dioxide while breathing which is used by photosynthesis to produce glucose. Photosynthesis is a oxidation-reduction same as respiration. In respiration, energy is released from carbohydrates when hydrogen is transported to oxygen as a result of which water is produced as a byproduct. The mitochondria are responsible for storing the energy and then its further function requires converting this energy to form sugars. Photosynthesis requires 686 kcal of energy which is provided by light which further helps to form ATP.

In respiration, carbondioxide is released while oxygen is inhaled. Respiration is an ongoing process which happens all the time unless and until a person is alive. Photosynthesis is the process which requires sunlight (Cleland, 1982).Thylakoid stacks are the areas where the light reactions take place. Sunlight here is converted into energy containing molecule or ATP and NADPH.Chlorophyll is responsible for producing ATP, ...
