Abstract

According to John Dewey, the education is the mental powers' development in which the content of growth is not fixed, but it involves the increased harmonization of people with society. This harmonization should value the unique qualities as well as the intelligence ability of individuals. Education targets the development of a model democratic society, which according to Dewey is similar to the scientific inquirers' ideal community.
