Introduction

        With the advent of computers, information IS more accessible to people. The traditional view of education has changed significantly, and allows people to learn at their own pace. With all this information readily available so why not attend the college network and allow people to receive the degree of comfort of their own home? Distance learning is a good alternative to traditional schools and allows students the convenience of learning from their own home or at work. Many companies and universities involved in distance learning to improve services to their employees and students. Online courses offer more flexibility in the times that may apply to students with career and family. Tuition at the university on the Internet is also lower than in traditional schools (Detweiler, 2004).

Discussion           Time is of great importance for the majority of students today. Especially for students who are returning to school to help better themselves in their current job, or even in college, to help them find better jobs. The college experience does not matter to these people, and that makes distance learning a good alternative to traditional college (Detweiler, 2004).

Online courses offer many amenities for students. For example, they should not try to find classes that fit into the period of their working hours and other functions. Online universities offer classes that can be taken late in the evening when people were sleeping children. Most schools have a thick course catalog full time classes are offered. Using the online university, the student does not need to spend a lot of time trying to find courses that do not conflict with their schedules (Eskey, 2002).
