Thesis Statement

In our lives, certain situations arise where we have to take a decision, which can change our entire life or course of action.

Introduction

When a child develops a mind to think he starts planning about his life. His parents, siblings and all the people around guide him regarding how to live a life. Since the time of school, he is being taught regarding the future of his life. In addition to that, he sees people around himself and receives the guidance regarding how to plan his life and how to choose a path, which will really suit him and benefit him. In the early stages of a childhood specifically the time of receiving his education from school, he starts witnessing his siblings practicing elderly tasks like running a household or going to job, he gets fascinated and tries to adopt a same path. This all process helps in modifying his personality and develops a skill of decision-making. In a life time people make countless decisions among which some go in their favor and some against them. For instance if we take example of a school selection for a child, and leave that decision upon his will, he may choose a schooling which is good for recreational activities, but not that good for education. That particular decision may be good for sometime until the child enjoys everything, but may not be good or may go against him on another occasion. Similarly, in our lives we face certain situations where we have to choose from an option. That selection or that decision that we make on that particular moment can change our entire life. A good example for such a case can be that of choosing a career. Imagine that since your childhood it has been your dream to become an engineer for which you have initially opted for science related subjects and throughout kept dreaming about the career. However, in your high school exams you were not able to get enough grades to qualify for the engineering filed. You yourself are pissed off and have to decide whether to repeat your courses and wait for another couple of years to stay aligned with the career you opted or you have to decide about a business school. From the two options, you opted for business school education. A decision that you made at the end of your high school will change the entire course of your life. You may succeed in the career that you opted but may feel disgruntled about not continuing your career profession. Similarly, in our lives certain situations arise where we have to take a decision, which can change our entire life or course of action.

Discussion

Before making or rushing into a decision, a person should think carefully. Decisions made at small instances or specifically those in which less time is there to think can cause adverse effect. In our daily lives, we make decisions on regular basis at times there are decisions in which we do ...
