Effects of Music on Mind

It's all understood that people want to learn to become wiser and more informed about the world around them. The more people learn the more powerful they become. This is the rate at which people get to know what separates the geniuses from ordinary people from learning disabilities. Geniuses do not encounter problems during training, because they learn so quickly. It's everything else that can really use the help. One solid way to increase the hasten at which people discover is with music. People learn through music and your opinion to grow faster because of this (Robinson 12). Some music, when implemented properly, can have a positive impact on learning and attitude. Music is a powerful thing, and when we understand its meaning, it can bring significant changes, both positive and negative in our lives.

Early stages of learning for young children are most important. Basics of training imparted to the child at an early age and how much importance is given to these principles can have a dramatic effect on the child's future education. Music, when used in a constructive manner, can have a positive impact on the child's education and help them in many ways (Justin 58).

One of the ways that music can make learning easier for a young child is through music lessons in the normal activity of the child. Little research has been done two years ago with 1003-year-olds who were tested for their ability to assemble a puzzle, and the speed with which they could do it.

After the initial test was taken, five of the children were given singing lessons for 30 minutes a day, and the remaining five were given piano lessons for 15 minutes a week. Lessons were conducted over a six-month period, and after six months, all children showed significant improvements in the speed with which they could assemble a puzzle (Robinson 12).

Researchers understand the skill to put the pieces of the puzzle together as the same reasoning that engineers, chess players and high-level mathematicians use. In this study of urban children, their initial scores were below the national average, and then their estimates almost doubled.

The term they provide the type of reasoning and thought that goes into putting together pieces of the puzzle is called abstract thinking. By teaching music, people would have the same abstract reasoning skills, which they use to do math or some other exercise in which people have in the head (Carlson 25).

There are times when feeling depressed. Feelings of gloom and inadequacy to fill the mind and conduct, even everyday activities become difficult. Depression reduces the activity of the brain and interferes with the ability of mind to plan and execute tasks. Lack of the neurotransmitter serotonin, result in a depressed state of mind. The soothing musical notes enhance the level of serotonin in the brain, thus alleviating mental depression.
