Introduction

Ethics is an ideal of human behavior that guides every person on what is right, what is right and what should be done, understanding their life in relation to their peers, seeking the common good. Ethics at work not only guide the decision-making (what I do) but also the process that follows once the decision (how I do). In performance, each individual has its own pattern of values. Therefore, it is necessary that everyone do their own thinking, as behavior compatible with the corporate values, the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, strategic objectives, the internal rules of the Companies and applicable law. In this report, we will discuss a ethical conduct implementation plan in our company, i.e. ABC company.

The role of leadership

To impose the code of ethical conduct in the workplace it is very important for the higher management of the organization to follow ethics. Leadership is a topic on the rise in recent years in the business world, but has been talking extensively about it since the middle of the last century. There are multiple investigations that have taken place in recent years and numerous authors have dared to give his own view of the topic.

The leader is a person like the rest, with the only difference being that occupies a special place because he has earned every day with their work. As Moreno says, the leader must be distinguished from other employees of the organization for its efforts to use in their daily work, the qualities inherent to human beings: respect, generosity, patience, dignity, ability to listen not hear, but do active listening and true; humility and exemplary.



Leadership and ethical conduct in the workplace

By their nature, most schools do not encourage discussion of ethical issues, educators spend much of their time isolated from one another and there is always lack of time. An ethical way to create awareness is to form an ethics committee similar to those found in many hospitals. Such committees will not have formal rules, but create awareness of ethical issues, formulate ethical codes and advise educators with ethical dilemmas (Betty Sichel 1993).

Ethical goals

For all employees, regardless the position or function they occupy, the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics has the following objectives:

Being a formal referral and institutional and personal behavior professional.

To make possible ethical behavior based on corporate values.

Reduce the subjectivity of personal interpretations on moral and ethical principles. s

Strengthen the identity and image of the relationship with its stakeholders.

Ethical principles

The livelihoods of the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics are honesty, dignity, respect, loyalty, dedication, efficiency, transparency and awareness to guide the behavior of those who make a relationship (Ferrell, Fraedrich, and Ferrell, 2009). Thus, our company seeks to address increasing levels of competitiveness, profitability and social responsibility, understanding this.
