Introduction

Many authors have discussed the importance of ethical leadership on organization practice. Ethical leadership is basically referred to leadership skills and qualities along with ethical practices at the workplace. It is very important that leaders enact the moral values that the y want t the followers to develop in their working processes and methodologies. It is very important that ethical leaders create the right type of environment and supporting organization culture that enhance the moral development of the employees in the long run and make it a permanent practice in organization. Employee look upon the leaders in cases where they need guidance as to how they should react morally and it is the job of the leader to guide them by becoming good role models. The two most important factors of ethical leadership that can have positive impact on the productivity and development of employee and organization are empowerment and trust.

Psychological empowerment has been defined as “increased intrinsic task motivation manifested in a set of four cognitions reflecting an individual's orientation to his or her work role: meaning, competence, self-determination and impact (Zhu, 2008, pp.66).” the four important factor that are vital for the empowerment of any worker in relations to his job in the organization are meaning, competency and skills, self determination and impact. Meaning refers to the value that any employee gives to his job and position in the organization while competency points toward the expertise and skill that the worker in relation to his job. Self determination means that how much authority doe an employee have in making decisions or how much freedom does he have in determining the method which he want to use while performing a task.
