Teachers should deal with difficulty behavior so as to not cut off the learning process. Carol Cummings, scribe of the book "Managing to Teach," writes that there are four types of demeanor that lead students to misbehave. The vigilance seeker strives for vigilance so his behaviors will permit him to be the aim of the classroom. The power seeker refuses to pursue main heading and should have the last word.

The revenge seeker will verbally misuse others. Some misbehave because they desire to bypass failure. These are the students who don't do their work and sleep in class in order to bypass farther failure. In the proactive approach to school room management, the teacher uses distinct behaviors to reduce the prospect that a student will proceed out. The scholar will accomplish the desired behavior. An educator can use a proactive approach by establishing rules in the school room and admiring students who act according to behavior anticipations. If scholars are aware of the directions and understand the penalties of violating them, this will eradicate some misbehavior.

The reactive approach to school room administration is a teacher's response following a student's misbehavior in the classroom. The teacher enforces punishment that is equitable and reliable when dealing with a student's unsuitable actions. A demonstration of this would be a student being excessively late to class.
