Introduction

Over the past several decades, gambling in western societies has emerged from the shadows of dubious morality into the light of mainstream consumption, a transition encouraged by the secularization of social life, the rise of consumerism, the development of the industry, and regulatory liberalization. The opportunities for state-sanctioned gambling have grown enormously. Indeed, between 80-90% of the populations of most western societies consume commercial gambling products. My purpose in this article is to align this consumption of chance with the sociology of the risk society. (Oddo, 2003)

The first element of this theory is trauma.Within each family, problem gambling behavior developed in relationship to some form of stressful life event or past unresolved loss that was considered traumatic by the individual. Here, trauma is defined in terms of a stressful life event or past unresolved loss that directly or indirectly threatened one's health and well-being. Losses frequently incurred by gamblers in this study included loss of familial relationships, health, innocence and self-esteem (related to physical and mental maltreatments), and employment. In addition, common among this population were concurrent and multiple losses. Participating in gambling activities enabled these individuals to escape the emotional pain that permeated most aspects of their lives. Gambling is more specifically known as game of chance. Mortgage punters or players money pending the outcome of the prophesy of its outcome. It is games that wrap around the punters: the lottery and playing cards and dice, horse racing, boxing and some other sports. The Islam forbids gambling and promises an abomination of Satan's work.

The spread of gambling Gambling spread in all parts of the globe. And some people love gambling in the excitement and anticipation of the unknown, while others gambled exposure to risk and galvanizing their skills or their fortunes. The love of gambling each other and fight. But many people believe that gambling is the shortest way to get rich quick. In any event, the win in most competitions depends primarily on chance alone. But one can increase the chances of winning the game and studying the assets of the appropriate choice of the game that will allow more opportunities to win. (Mascarenhas, 2000)

Ethical Issue of gambling

A number of bettors believe that athletes in contest are able to perform at their very best. Even the slightest indication on the athletes that are “on the take” or “throwing” games or matches for pecuniary gain can irreparably harm the entire sport arena. 19th century is the year where professional sports grew considerably as it grew it increased the chances of fear that gambling would damage the games.
