You want to go to America, having got a new job there or being transferred by your employer into a U.S. subsidiary? Have you fallen in love during a vacation in America-land and its people and are currently looking for a new job? Whatever your current situation, the company moved to a new country brings many challenges and the sooner you lose the rose-colored glasses and grappling with this, the better.

In addition to the practical matters, the rules must be like a new apartment or house, moving with or without furniture, with your family or alone, are the cultural differences often underestimated greatly. But just when you emigrate, and start a new life in a new country and take up a new job, it is important to be aware of these cultural differences, misunderstandings to go out of the way. It may be a surprise to many, but the mindsets of Germans and Americans are opposed. Americans first formulate their goal or their theory and only then find out the details of the whole. Conflicts and misunderstandings can occur quickly because German quickly get the feeling that the Americans have unrealistic notions or ideas, while the Americans impatient with the many details of the Germans, and wonder whether they ever reach the goal (McDonald, James, 2010). Some say, therefore, that Americans are visionaries who have their strength in it to act. In contrast, the Germans are regarded as thinkers who have their strength in the planning. Both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages.
