The topic chosen for this reflection is Jean Watson's Metaparadigm of Nursing. In this theory Watson explains the importance of adequate care and compassion at healthcare facilities. According to her, the work of nurses is to ensure that every patient is treated with compassion just as she would treat one of her family members (Douglas, 2011). The most important reason for choosing nursing in order to reflect the GC&E course is that there is a clear link in what is taught and the profession of nursing.
