Global Warming and Carbon Dioxide

Carbon dioxide and other gases such as methane, present naturally in the atmosphere, warming the Earth's surface. They capture some of the infrared radiation emitted by the planet in response to sunlight and have a beneficial effect: without the "cover" the Earth's temperature would drop to - 18 ° C. But the widespread use of fossil fuels (coal, oil) and massive deforestation have dramatically increased the amount of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere.

Natural factors TO Global Warming

The climate is influenced primarily by our star, the sun. This is because the sunlight flooding the world that life is possible and that the temperature is reasonable. Everyone knows that the earth moves around the sun along a substantially elliptical path (actually an ellipse imperfect and flattened on the ends) and, moreover, it turns on itself about an axis which forms an angle of about 23 ° with the plane of this ellipse. The major consequence is the existence of seasons resulting from the greater or lesser distance from the planet towards the sun and its direction. Thus, in summer, the Northern Hemisphere faces the sun, while in the southern hemisphere winter is the best position.

On the graph, are shown against America's days of equinox and solstice. Note that the southern hemisphere is closer to the sun during the northern winter is that when the northern summer, which also explains the significant differences between summer temperatures over northern and southern temperate substantially warmer . Of course the scales are not respected in this figure since the earth is much smaller than the sun (source Nathalie de Noblet, 2004, College de France). Also everyone knows that the northern hemisphere has more land mass which will reflect solar radiation differently oceans, the majority in the southern hemisphere.

Human Factors to global Warming

The action of man is multifaceted and its influence on climate is very complex. As long as man has merely to be a simple header its climate action was void, but once he began to clear land for a farmer it has disrupted his environment. For millennia this disturbance, however, was very limited because the man had no machinery at its disposal when working by hand it is necessarily more responsible, we do not do anything. Then man invented religions, leaders, cronyism and corruption and respect for nature has collapsed, he said, "Be fruitful and multiply" and the man became innumerable and overall increasingly dependent on machines and "leaders" and slowly but surely we got to the current situation: the man goes straight into the wall.

Strategies to Stop Global Warming

Climate change is one of the major environmental constraints facing the world today. Rising global temperatures will bring changes in weather patterns, rising sea levels and increased frequency and intensity of extreme weather events.

Most scientists agree that temperatures will rise over the century between two and six degrees Celsius, a result mainly of carbon dioxide emitted by burning fossil fuels for transportation and power generation. This phenomenon endangers the lives of millions of people to the possibility of flooding and ...
