Before collecting documents, I think understanding the needs, expectations, and potential issues of project stakeholders are crucial to the success of any project. The work you do before a project begins to familiarize yourself with these stakeholders or anticipate any problems that their issues might create for your project can make or break your efforts (Field, 1992, 15-28). I will ask the project team to review the project chart and to refer to other documents that include requirements. I will also ask them to review the stakeholder register to ensure that all key stakeholders have a say in determining requirements. Because the budget is limited, I will hold focus groups, facilitated workshop, and using group creativity and decision making techniques. I will also use observation because this project is aboutresearch.

Project Justification: The environment technologies program just started, and the VP of Operations, Nathalie, is the program sponsor (Belz, 2008, 33-52). Ito is the program manager, and there is a steering committee made up of ten executives, including Nathalie, overseeing the program (Allan, 2002, 195-212).
