Introduction

Scholars and students often find that ethical studies within a particular field follow a similar developmental pattern of moving from concrete, or black and white, to a more fluid shades-of-gray model. Narrowing the focus to applied, organizational- level ethics in the health sector we find an emerging body of knowledge that is moving along this developmental continuum (AHIMA, 2004). To advance the reader's understanding of this important subject, this chapter discusses a variety of concepts to provide a foundational understanding of ethics assessment relevant to Health information management. The introduction of an empirically supported tool for assessing ethics in Health information management, and proposed future directions for this emerging field serve to accomplish this task.

Discussion

In the development of health information premature idealization must be avoided which is made to new developments and should be taken into risks. Similarly, we need to be cautious that health information help citizens to develop healthy habits and at the same time does not increase unnecessary medicalization of life. The complexity of the various factors that converge can have major impact on citizens. Without doubt, much responsible behavior and values inherent in the codes of conduct provided by both health professionals and journalists. Therefore, one should be aware that health information requires a specific ethical approach to make compatible choice to receive information with respect to the dignity of people. It necessary to promote the ethical considerations amongst the working group (AHIMA, 2008). The concerns shared by health professionals, managers and journalists working group, repeatedly suggests that there is a collaborative framework that allows considerations incorporated in codes of ethics of each group which can be taken into account in professional practices.
