Healthcare communication is defined as the dealing that creates a connection between numerous healthcare clients and teams regarding issues that are related to healthcare. The model of healthcare communication views a broader perspective and includes the external factors that affect the healthcare setting, which persuades the participants and also has an influence on the outcome obtained through interaction. The three major factors in healthcare communication are: transactions, contexts and relationships. Healthcare communication is considered to be in the center as it is necessary to provide support. Therefore, in different situations, it might be more efficient to use challenging means. Therefore, it proposes that on a single scenario only a few forms of personal communication can be applied. Efficient and effective communications in the healthcare settings is pertinent to both professional and personal healthcare outputs. These means helps the members of the healthcare institutions to achieve their objectives. This can be achieved only by establishing methods such as an effective leadership, effective goal clarification, appropriate behaviors and group norms which facilitate the healthcare communications (Smedley, 2002).

Although being the biggest minority population in the U.S., Hispanics are still the most underrepresented in palliative care across the country. In the year 1997, a study was carried out which at that time was based on the Asian and Latin American members. The study showed that a ethnically and racially diverse managers earn less than their colleagues in the majority, and felt that they received less respect than their Caucasian managers have less autonomy in the conduct of their work, experienced acts of discrimination in the workplace, and should have had more higher qualifications than their colleagues in the majority to succeed in their organizations.

In 2003, the survey sponsors conducted follow-up studies, and many of the findings revealed in this initial study is among the leaders of ethnically and racially diverse. In contrast, subsequent studies have shown that over 50 percent of the members of the Caucasus did not believe that inclusion and diversity are the basic problems and the major essential improvements were not linked with a lack of qualified leaders of minority health. Despite some positive changes were observed at the national level, estimated at least 2 percent of all senior executives of health were ethnic or racial minorities (Talamantes, 1995).

Discussion and Analysis

Financing health care plays a significant role in the ability of Hispanics to have an approach to health care. Despite its presence in the labor force, Hispanics are focused mainly in low-paying jobs in the service sector, where employers are less likely to offer insurance for health and other benefits.
