Introduction

AIDS is the acronym for Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome. HIV aids cannot be revered as the disease of modern times; it had always existed in our world. The only difference is that mankind did not acknowledge its existence until 1981. Amongst the major natural causes of mortality in the world, in both the ancient and modern times, is HIV aids; most importantly in the least developed countries.

AIDS-Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome - is a new disease. There's no known case until 1981. Since then, HIV which causes AIDS, has spread around the world and not be over emphasized threat posed by each other, both in the UK, as in most other countries in the world. During the next few years, the most effective way to reduce the spread of the virus in August will be education and society, and in particular the people exceptionally threatened infection. AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficincy Syndrome - Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) is heavy immune deficiency syndrome caused by HIV (Human Immnodefyciency Virus). The HIV virus is transmitted by blood and body fluids, causing the destruction of the immune system, making infected person becomes vulnerable to various infections and diseases. Patients with AIDS usually die because of atypical pneumonia or cancer. AIDS - the first officially recognized in America in 1981, although it appeared much earlier similar cases, if unrecognized. In the developed countries, the disease is more common in gay men. In 1995, according to WHO on AIDS had developed approximately 4.5 million people, and most of them died.

Transmission of HIV In contrast to many other viruses, HIV cannot be transferred during the occasional contacts between human, like in cough, the administration's hand, use of common toilets. It could be infected with a virus during sexual contact, by common use of needles and syringes, transfusion of infected blood from the mother and fetus.

An increasing number of infections in heterosexual relationships, especially when a man is bisexual or any of the partners take drugs intravenously. The most threatened areas of the world are Central Africa and large North American cities.

AIDS usually takes quite a long time to develop and so far scientists are not able to predict when the disease develops. It is rare that an adult person who got sick before the expiry of eight years ago is still healthy. It depends in large degree on the state of health prior to infection and run mode of life (Heacock, Orvis, 1990, pp. 689-713).

So far there is no effective cure for AIDS, although working on this and many centers still appear new drugs to fight HIV infection and disease, from which it disposes. Azydotymidyna - labeled "AZT" or "Retrovir" is the best-known drug. It is used in the initial stage of the disease. Unfortunately, it induces serious side effects and is less effective in people infected longer.
