Introduction

African Americans have a occurrence in movie and have habitually laboured to boost and sustain that place. In the very starting, the cost of film-making was not conducive for African Americans. There was a labour out-of-doors of film-making that kept most African Americans away. The look of African Americans in movie started in the Silent Movie era. African Americans were recorded on film as fighters in the Spanish - American War in 1898. Uncle Tom's cabin, recorded on film in 1903, depicted African Americans in line with what the racial stereotypes were that were held throughout this instant in time.
