Introduction

There are many unethical acts with the advancement of information technology. This un ethical behavior has to stop by any means. That is why there are certain acts, which stop these unethical conducts. The wrong attitude may include the violation of internet law, fraud, spam emails, pornography and other illegal acts. The list goes on, but we put shed on two acts 1) The CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 came into existence on 16th December, 2003. President George W. Bush signed this act into the Law No. 108-187. The acronym for the CAN-SPAM is controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act of 2003. It is the first national standard to send the commercial emails, and it requires Federal Trade Commission to enforce it. 2) The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act signed on 21st October, 1998. It includes that website designer or operator should design in a way that before entering into any website, there are options which ask for parental or guardian permission.

CAN-SPAM ACT 2003

Another name for CAN-SPAM ACT is “You-Can-Spam” Act. It allows the easier prosecution among other things and also provides rights to the private acts. If someone needs to send the marketing messages, it does not require any permission. It also protects the users in receiving different spam emails from the spammers. In short, it provides the strongest anti-spam protection. This act is effectively working. In 2008, Federal Trade Commission elaborated the act of CAN-SPAM, the term sender has modified, and the sender should include the post office box or private mail box, and also there is no need to pay any charge or fee by the recipients.
