Abstract

The paper exhibits about the changes in the culture of the organization, which has several consequences over the employees of the organization. Employees might resist in adopting change when the originations implements the changing policies and it also reflects the culture of the organization. Similarly the paper shows the same examples which is linked with the cultural change in the origination names Barclays, the change not only posses in the culture but also did related changes in the processes and in the technology. Thus the impact has been shown how the employee reacted and how the company make it implemented adopting several theories and strategies of changing the technology and culture without any resistance in the employees.

Introduction

The word organization is best described as a group of people, systematically managed, with mutual intentions of achieving similar goals and objectives. It provides us with a platform where people with similar ideas and interests join together to be efficiently productive. An organization can exist anywhere and does not necessarily require a corporate governance or legal jurisdiction to govern it, until it serves the main purpose that the group of individuals is trying to achieve. So it could be said that a group of kids aiming to build a tree house in their garden are a part of an informal organization, as they are organized to achieve their common goal that being the construction of the tree house.

Discussion

Corporate culture lies in the organization. It is viewed to be an essential aspect of any business. Dependent on the type of the business, it varies from business to business. The norms, behaviours, and manner things are made out in any organization, are simply represented by it. Rather than being explicit, it is always implicit. (Allaire, 1984, pp. 193-226).

With the passage of time, corporate culture keeps on changing and it never remains fixed, as being shaped by the pooled attributes of fresh employees hired by a business. Certain particular features of any business often represent corporate culture that include style of leadership, rate of turnover, satisfaction of clients or end users, and recruitment process etc. (Black, 2003 pp. 48).

Once one becomes a part of any organization, he goes through a unique self learning program, where books do not teach much, however actions and activities do. Keeping that in mind a person also becomes more adaptive to changes, since changes in technologies and market trends take place very often. An organization also teaches us, how to delegate tasks and share workload, so more focus could be attained by the most important tasks. Apart from this, we also tend to understand the importance of communication and importance of having levels of hierarchy and management as it teaches us, to follow the chain of command and to be informative about everything through thorough communication, in order to decrease the chances of misunderstandings.
