CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
Introduction
“Many children are seen to be suffering from the various types of conduct disorders. Studies have indicated that the disorders in childhood period are linked to many types of academic, social, and familial impairments, and these disorders are most likely to continue to exist if they are not treated well in time (Westenberg, 2007, 471-483). They are apt to influence children to formulate anxiety disorders later in adolescence. Clearly, the ability to intervene early to treat these disorders would be beneficial (Westenberg, 2007, 471-483).. This chapter emphasises the main points related to the subject of conduct disorders dominating amongst the children between the ages of 10-18 living across the world. It analyzes the causes, treatments and the preventions of the personality disorders amongst children and suggests possible and logical recommendations for the cure of such personality conflicts.
Discussion of the Nature of Conduct Disorder
There are several disorders, which exist among the children of growing age, and later, turn into the permanent personality disorders creating problems for them. Just like other learning disabilities and shortcomings in a child's potential, it is sometimes very difficult to discover and diagnose the learning abilities. This is because such disorders rarely present any physical discrepancies or symptoms in the body which might be identifiable or measurable.
