Introduction

Child abuse is a serious social, political, and emotional adversity in the world. This theme has become, in newest years, the objective of numerous quantitative and qualitative enquiries believed to identify both the determinants of this adversity and its penalties, as well as study believed to develop prevention and intervention efforts to eradicate and decline the problem. The child abuse prevention center documented that each year in the United States, the abuse and neglect of children conclusions in over twelve 100 years preventable killings and thousands of recounted and unreported injuries. In the United States, approximately 2 million abused children are reported.

Child abuse according to Dante Cicchetti and Vicki Carlson in their publication Child Maltreatment is distinuished as "causing or permitting any hurtful or strike broadcast on a child's body; and, any attachment or transaction of any kind, which humiliates, shames, or frightens the child". Child abuse has been a very large-scale social theme universally.

Child abuse is a prevalent time span for three types of child maltreatment sexual abuse, physical abuse, and emotional or psychological abuse. Children are usually victims of more than one kind of abuse. Children can be abused both sexually and emotionally, or they can more over be physically abused and neglected. In some strange positions, a child may accept from more than two kinds of abuse(Corby 2005).

Child Abuse is the poorest thing a child can advance through, not only on the body material, but more over on the entire structure of the mind. The mistreatment of children is deeply entrenched in history. Violence is a reflection of patriarchal tradition. The mistreatment of children through brutal entails is not a new adversity that humanity has had to face. Research tends to affirm the feminist location that aggression has been systemically committed [to] maintain the heritage subordination [of women]. However, there is a distinction between the abuse of today and the abuse of yesterday. Today, cruelty to children is recognised as abuse while, in the past, it was not. The abuse of children was rather prevalent in the past.

Research Method:

The research is based on secondary data collection. The data is extracted from various journals, articles and books. Secondary research describes information gathered through literature, publications, broadcast media, and other non-human sources. This type of research does not involve human subjects.

The research approach used is qualitative. Qualitative research is much more subjective than quantitative research and uses very different methods of collecting information which could be both primary and secondary. As already mentioned this study chooses the secondary method. The nature of this type of research is exploratory and open-ended.

This type of research is often less costly than surveys and is extremely effective in acquiring information. It is often the method of choice in instances where quantitative measurement is not required.
