ABSTRACT

In this study we try to explore the concept of job satisfaction and motivation in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on Apple Inc. and its relation with job satisfaction and motivation. The researcher used mixed research and the following research questions were addressed. What is the organizational culture of apple? How apple can motivate its employee? How organizational cultures affect employees? What is the job satisfaction level of employees? The researcher surveyed and reached to meaningful conclusion that Apple Inc. has a vast culture and the job satisfaction level at Apple Inc. is high. The culture of a Apple is greatly influenced by two factors. First one is the personality of the Steve and then, the challenges that the company faced in its infancy - and how she overcomes them. These two factors shaped the culture of the company, creating its strengths and its opportunities. Although all the members of the organization follow have same strategies and mission which have been communicated to them from the top level but individual worker may have own short term or long term goal. Here one thing is important and that is the organizational goals and missions must be aligned with the individual goals. The top management decides the organizational goals and then these goals are communicated to middle level and supervisor level. Keeping in view the organizational level goals, the middle and first line managers make their own department specific goals with the help of lower staff.
