Introduction

In order to reach the goals of expanding services and increasing revenue, we must expand our Sales and Marketing department. We will need to add a Sales Manager to lead the group and two additional sales representatives to gather new business and increase our customer base. We will also need to add two individuals in marketing to get our products and services increased exposure. The Sales Manager will be tasked with leading the team in an effort to increase our market share, expand services and developing new and innovative methods to increase revenues.

This individual will need to possess prior managerial experience and have a background in the sales or marketing area. The Marketing Representatives will need to have a background in communications and possess prior experience in marketing. They will need to have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and also [Word use: these two words are redundant (one is either the same as the other or contained in it); eliminate the first with no change in meaning. Possess solid analytical skills to be able to complete the market research that will be necessary. All positions will be required to work well as teams as the positions are interdependent and each individual will have a large impact on the results of the team which will also impact the company reaching our goal(George, 1996).

Training Program

I believe one of the main objectives of our new training program is for all team members to have an excellent understanding of the products and services we offer and of the products and services we will be introducing. I believe that if we provide customers with a strong team we will be able to show our customers the value and benefits of our products and services and by doing so become an integral part of our customers' culture and enable our customers to feel comfortable in coming to us for advice, suggestions and solutions. We will also need to ensure that our team members' are well versed in their individual specialties to ensure our customers are receiving the most current information available regarding our products and services.

Another objective will be to ensure that all team members, new and continuing, possess excellent customer service skills so we can promote the type of customer first atmosphere that we are striving for in order distinguish ourselves from other providers and to create the full service company we are attempting to create. We will also be able to use role playing so we can see how different situations will play out and how different individuals deal with the variety of situations that can arise and learn and grow from each other's experience and knowledge(Balkin, 2002).

Evaluating Employee and Team Performance
