Hence, the texting of messages is contrary to the health of our spoken and written English language.

In addition, the author of the article uses commonplace language to bring home the point that texting is not good for our language. The author further elucidates the wrongful usage of the different words in text messages. These abbreviations and contractions tend to corrupt our language.
