Children Learning Behaviors

Abstract

This paper will discuss children behaviors. Relation to this topic we have focused more on learning behaviors and cognitive disorders. These are responsible for learning and behavior. We have also discussed factors which affect learning and behavior of child with epilepsy. For this research project we have analyzed five scholarly journals, and have evaluated some key facts in detail.

Children Learning Behaviors

Introduction

Learning is the only way through which a human being can grasp different skills and expertise. Learning is the procedure which has enabled human beings to distinguish themselves from animals (Carrier, 1983); it is the procedure through which human beings became a social and civilized entity. There are several forms of learning; face to face learning, distant learning and hybrid procedure of learning. The face to face learning is the procedure through which a person interacts with his teacher in person. This type of learning takes place in classrooms in form of lectures and workshops (Geddes & Murrell, 2010).

In this paper our topic is Children learning behaviors/learning and the problem which we will focus will be why Cognitive disorders are responsible for learning and behavior and what factors affect learning and behavior of a child with epilepsy? This will help us to understand how important it is to learn the children learning behaviors and to know what are the factors misleading them and taking away from learning.

Cognitive Disorders Are Responsible For Learning and Behavior

The most frequent complaints in relation to children with epilepsy and learning difficulties are slow, lack of attention, concentration difficulties, memory, understanding and clumsiness. All of these claims may be related to various cognitive disorders.

Teachers often described as epileptic students lacking concentration kids, lethargic, sleepy, distracted, and without answers to what was happening in class. The analysis of behavior is complex. It is difficult to tell whether the problem is due to neurological deficits or due to a psycho-affective factor or possibly the sum of both (Parry, 2005).

By contrast, cognitive impairment may be responsible for difficulties in different types of learning. For example: A child with slow learning in school. This may be due to the difficulty in understanding or remembering instructions (in the case of temporal lobe epilepsy, for example). Or be due to difficulty in writing that slows the production of the response or by a difficulty of organizing a response, or difficulty in developing the strategy to reach the correct answer.
