Linear equations are all those equations which have the following form:y = ax + b

Such that “x” is called independent variable,   “y” is called dependent variable,      “a and b” are called constants, For example, y = 2x + 5 with a = 2 and b = 5, y = -3x + 2 with a = -3 and b = 2 and y = 4x + - 1 with a = 4 and b = -1.
