Amazon Kindle is developed by Amazon and is an e book reader that makes digital media accessible through wireless connectivity. The users can download, shop, browse and even read e-books over the website. Amazon has also come up with the physical devise called E Ink electronic paper to help readers read the e books over it. The power use for the devise is very low and it is just like reading the paper. The devise displays the content in 16 shades of gray.

When comparing Kindle with the competitive brands, it is important to state that the competition in this product category is very tough. This competition increased further when Samsung launched its latest hardware in the form of a 7 inches Smartphone tablet. Samsung is well known for its android hardware manufacturing and has a reputation as the bets company from the South Korean market. The Product is called Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. The modification in the Galaxy is that this time round, Samsung has not used its signature AMOLED display technology. It is an LCD display this time. Hence, in terms of screen size and display Amazon Kindle surely takes the lead over Samsung Galaxy Plus.

Hence, through facilitation of customers Amazon is taking a new direction in the highly competitive tablet market. The marketing mix for Kindle is quite strong. The product is placed right and Amazon is employing a good promotional strategy to make it a success. The pricing strategy adopted by Amazon gives it an edge over other rival brands such as Sony's upcoming Reader PRS-T1 and Barnes & Noble's Nook Color as well as the Samsung Galaxy Plus. There are no concerns as to the quality of the product and the devise is workable with Android which makes it easier for customers to use it.
