Abstract

This project aims to provide us with the explicit knowledge of the 3G, 4G, Femtocell, Base station and Long Term Evolution technology used in the cellular networking systems. The technological advancement in the field of telecommunication has given rise in the researches been made in the field of mobile communication and wireless networks. In this project, we summarize the business and technical influence for femtocells, and explain the state-of-the-art on each face. We also explain the technical challenges facing in the networks of femtocell, and give a number of initial ideas for how to overcome them.

Femtocells in Business Aspects

1. Introduction

1.1. Generic Information

Mobile telephony is now a proven technology in the world and its development in the quality and amount of services provided to users has led already through four generations of cellular systems in less than thirty years it was in 1983, when it was put on the market the first mobile phone. The demands and expectations of customers have Followed The technological advancement of the times and one of the, which in recent years has most influenced the development in this field, Especially in the last decade is undoubtedly the success of the internet and its inclusion in contemporary society, leading to new frontiers of mobile telephony

The project aims to provide an explicit knowledge on the Femtocell, 4G cellular networks and LTE (Long Term Evolution). The telecommunication future looks a topic to be long discussed for the forthcoming years. The present tells us about the future demands and high speed connection for the end users and the high demand gives rise to such efficient and effective mobile wireless ubiquitous and capacity network that can resolve all the public demands for the voice and internet connection. Mobile users are now over billions in quantity and many devices are connected over the Cloud based application and Internet using the LTE and 3G (3rd Generation) mobile wireless networks. One the networking major companies, the Cisco Company tell in their report about the increase demands of the network handovers and reported that:

“In their (Cisco) 2011 Visual Networking Index, Cisco projects tell that, global mobile data traffic will increase 26 fold between 2010 and 2015. This has been called the (mobile data tsunami)”.

In telecommunications, 4G (also known as 4-G) is an acronym used to refer to the fourth generation of technologies for mobile telephony. It is the successor of the technologies 2G and 3G; 4G is based entirely ...
