Achieving the UK Quality Award publicly recognised a significant transformation in the organisational culture, compared to where it had been in the early 1990's. Do they still use the EFQM Excellence Model? How has their quality journey progressed? Company Background

Mortgage Express Inc. was founded in 1995 by Barry Shields. Since then, Mortgage Express Inc. has grown by utilizing Barry's “customer for life” philosophy of conducting business. With a combination of knowledge, ability, integrity and superior service, Mortgage Express Inc. has built its reputation as a mortgage broker with a commitment to our customers. Mortgage Express is an approved agent for many national banks and mortgage companies, who offer a vast array of mortgage programs. This gives us the ability to meet our customer's financing needs. Mortgage Express are mortgage brokers located at Endeavour House, 1 Lyonsdown Road in Barnet. Bradford & Bingley had developed Mortgage Express into a 'niche' lending brand dealing with specialist lending with more complicated underwriting requirements such as buy-to-let and self-certification mortgages. Mortgage Express is also closed to new business, following the nationalisation.
