Myriad of Ways

Occasionally I will learn the remark myriad employed in advantageous context. However, it is regularly employed as a noun: "There are a myriad of ways.” My obstacle with this is that myriad is truly an adjective. The top punishment should be: "There are myriad ways." Of course, separate people are just making a reproduce other people's wrongly usage. What I like to recognize is who commenced this mess?
