a) Industry Trade Association

The National Dairy Council established in the year 1915; currently it is the top lobby group of the dairy industry. The National Dairy Council belongs to, the dairy farming industry of the United States, and it is a not for profit organization. The National Dairy Council provides health and nutrition related information to all the stakeholder of NDC. This information and research, provided on behalf of the farmers of U.S dairy industry (Chicago NDC, 2010).

Social

The social activities of National Dairy Council involve conducting seminars and workshops to give nutrition related awareness to US citizens. The regional dairy councils and network of state are partners with NDC, and NDC distributes research and material to support the government. It conducts nutrition related programs for the nutrition improvement of Americans (Miller, Jarvis & McBean, 2007).

Economic

NDC funds and supports much nutrition related research programs whether conducted by students in universities or organization. In order to support the ongoing discovery of data related to dairy foods.

Technological

Researches conducted by the researchers and nutritionists of NDC are highly dependent on the most current technologies used in nutrition studies. Across U.S, NDC has collaborations with top notch research facilities and universities so that NDC obtains cutting-edge and up to date technical information (Britz & Robinson, 2008).

Competitive

The United Dairy Association's other eighteen members serve as competitors for the National Dairy Council. Though NDC is also a member of the United Dairy Association, and works for the execution of programs of Dairy management, Inc. (Nestle, 2007).
