Describing how typical the attitudes that Sheehy reports appear to be in work environments you have experienced

Capitalize means to turn a cost into an asset rather than expense. For example, costs for business startup are considered long-term costs, rather than expenses for only one year, so they are capitalized. If a cost is capitalized, it shows up on the balance sheet as an asset; loans associated with capital assets show up as liabilities.

Attitudes expressed above by Mr. Sheehy are seldom to identify with, given that different organizations have different organizational culture and practices. Most organizational cultures though anthropocentric, are normally strict, having well defined laws and policies that define the duties, obligations and privileges of employees towards an organization and vise versa. In this regard, it becomes very difficult to encounter the aforementioned anomalies cited by Mr. Sheehy.

Nevertheless, the complacency that is reported by Sheehy is familiar. This complacency normally manifests itself as young employees seek to divert their attention to the search for greener pastures, thus according the workload before them divided attention.

Explain the implications of the work ethic Sheehy describes for the future of American business

The work ethics that is described above by Sheehy is likely to hurt the future of the US business. Acts that border on brinkmanship, complacency and stealing from the side of the employees, it becomes very difficult for businesses [in America] to stay afloat. This is definitely likely to undercut the growth of businesses in the US. The gravity of the matter is that these corporate vices are all bordering on the absence of the value of loyalty. By extension, the American business and corporate sectors are in jeopardy, given that the populace in the US has shifted greatly from social values to individualism (Reamer, 2008).

Explanation on whether it is more reasonable to expect workers, especially in a capitalist society, to be more devoted to their jobs, more concerned with quality and customer service, than Sheehy's coworkers were
