The members of the team who will contain the information of the initial visit will be the doctor who did checkup of the patient, Rita Trosack.

1. The gynecologist who will be doing the checkup of the patient during the whole period of pregnancy will also be involved in this case.

2. The panelist who will be involved in this case will also be a part of Rita Trosack Case. 3. A genetic assessment is an assessment of risk of getting Tay Sachs from patient's family medical history. The genetic assessment may be supplemented by genetic tests to determine the presence of a genetic mutation (Kaback, Zeiger, Reynolds, 1974). This panel will be responsible for the following:

Know patient family medical history

One way to learn if the Tay Sachs is a disease in patient family is to examine patient genealogical history of Tay Sachs. According to the history of patient Rita her mother is 70 years old, alive and well. Her father is 72 years old, alive and well. Her two sisters are alive and well. Patient will need to consider more generations and find out what patient family has had Tay sacs (Moe, Benke, 2005). Then patient should get as much as possible refinements on the type of Tay Sachs and age at diagnosis. This can be difficult because the medical records of the past were less accurate than today. Patient may need to communicate with health care facilities such as hospitals or Tay Sachs centers. Genetic counselors may be able to help patient collect this information by providing the necessary consent forms for medical records.

Genetic counseling

Once the doctors have obtained patient genealogical history of Tay Sachs, The next process involves the study the patient family if they are eligible for genetic counseling or a special experimental study (McHale, Gallagher, 2003). During the genetic counseling, the patient is counseled by health professionals. They are provided with information regarding genes and the changes which take place in Tay Sachs disease.

Genetic Testing

Genetic testing is a systematic process that consists of specific laboratory techniques. Recently, various methods have been developed by scientists for determining if there are changes in a gene and how these changes impact an individual. Genetic testing defines in some cases, whether a person has a genetic mutation that increases his risk of getting Tay Sachs, long before it develops. Genetic tests are not available to everyone, and for several reasons, patient will have the opportunity to discuss it if patient choose to have genetic counseling (Baille , Gallagher & Wainwright, 2008).

Confidentiality

Patient may be wondering who will have access to the results of patient genetic assessment. It is important to know that there are rules to prevent misuse of this information. Patient genetic assessment will be confidential and personal information concerning patient will not be disclosed without patient, written consent.
