Abstract

In this study, the analysis strives to explore the concept of organizational behavior in a holistic context. The core objective of this paper is to enlighten diverse dimensions regarding organizational behavior and analyzes different conceptions of organizational behavior in the context of Apple Inc. Apple Inc is the organization selected for the analysis in this paper as the study presents different challenges and opportunities presented by organizational behavior; hence, in order to analyze the challenges and opportunities presented by organizational behavior its implications must be assessed in context of an organization. The paper explores diverse dimensions of organizational behavior and reflects the success of Apple Inc through the implications of organizational behavior in an organization.

Introduction

According to diverse sources, since decades managers have sought to improve organizational performance; this is as old as culture. The top hierarchy of management previously perceived an organization as a way to achieve competitiveness and profit on the basis of a horizontal division of labor and vertical decisions. In addition, it was also perceived that the top hierarchy of management was responsible for the process of decision making; however, the other layers of management had to fulfill their responsibilities in exchange of the offered remuneration. Nevertheless, this concept or the behavior of organizations changed with the passage of time. The employees of organizations are now considered as the most valuable assets to the company and are treated accordingly. There are diverse implications of organizational behavior in the era of globalization as the competition is intensified; moreover, it can be analyzed that competitive advantage is achieved by the organizations that are enriched with effective leadership.

The concept of organization has changed and their operations have exceeded beyond the linear systems, structures and isolated processes. Nowadays, every functional unit of an organization and its employees in any hierarchy of management work together as a team for the achievement of their common objectives. Moreover, this behavior of organizations has stabilized the organizational structure and system of relationships between individuals through which people collectively work to achieve their common objectives. In the era, of globalization, the goals of organizations are a product of their in-depth planning and decision-making process through which the objectives are formulated based on the company's ability and effectiveness of employees. The leaders of the organization and their way to lead the organization possess significant importance in this regard as it is their core responsibility to cross-check the operations of the organization and the tasks performed by its employees.
