How many people are aware of the fact that 46% of cell phone users are prone to cyber bullying and 23% are teenagers. A study has revealed that cyber bullying is becoming a very common issue these days which can impact a person emotionally. The more young teenagers engage in the use of cell phones, the more they are prone to harassment (Osborne, 2012

Highlighting the adverse effects cell phones have on teenagers, and how parents need to restrict their children from unnecessary usage.

Many parents allow their children to carry cell phones in case of any emergency. Many children feel safe only when they have their cell phones with them. The benefits of cell phones are countless and the reasons why parents are allowing their children to carry cell phones are also genuine, parents can also encourage their children to use the public phone at school instead.

A study has revealed that 24% schools in the United States have banned cell phones and only 62% allow phones on the school premises. Many schools are reconsidering whether the ban should be in place or not since having a cell phone can be useful in case of any emergency. However cell phones are considered to be corrupting the minds of kids (Raths, 2012).

My concern regarding cell phone usage in classrooms is that many students indulge in text messaging during classrooms and fail to pay attention and focus on the teacher; many students have lower grades since they hardly pay attention to the lectures and constantly engage in texting or browsing.
