Owing to an unprecedented and alarming increase in accidents involving drunken teens, there has been much debate on whether the legal age limit for the consumption of alcohol should be lowered to 18. There are a myriad of social benefits that lowering the alcohol consumption limit will. The most important among these is the decrease in cases of alcohol abuse among young teens and underage students. As a result, students will drive safely and will not indulge in dangerous activities and thrills when they are partying wildly. In the end, it should be noted that the benefits of lowering the drinking age limit will far outweigh the drawbacks.
