The Physical and Psychological needs of a child

Each person should develop four bodies: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. We are located inside the system and must learn to harmonize with each other and balance the needs of each of these bodies. (Ruben, Fein, 2003, 744)

Physical needs of the child are the primary needs and priorities, these should be addressed first. Include the need to eat well, to have a healthy diet. Need naps, 4 large meals, and a lot of energy. There is also the need to have good hygiene, be clean and be properly dressed. One sees the need for sleep; you can rest and rebuild energy. (Paten, 2002, 269)

If these basic needs are met, we assure our children a good growth (height, weight) and for sleeping, eating, bathing, being in a clean, cared for, play, and everything you need to function and develop. He needs a home, studies, needs love, someone to guide them and care. (Hart, Risley , 2005, 30 )

Day care Setting

As the child grows it easier for parents to set rules and limits the child begins to reason. Important discipline remains; as it helps you grow and mature. The adult must be an important benchmark: the child must understand that the attacks are ineffective and provide an alternative, perhaps by directing the attention of children who are fighting on other games. (Masur, 2005, 306 )

About 30 years ago most mothers stayed at home caring for their children. Today, 43% of women are in the workforce and the children are taken to some kind of care service. There are different views among psychologists, psychiatrists and other experts in early child development in terms of how healthy development of children being cared for by people other than their parents. However, for most parents use a child care service is the only viable alternative. Therefore, it is important to select a good quality service that meets both their needs and those of their children. Day care systems generally, are designed to meet the needs of working parents. They usually offer their services all day, during the course of the year. They are designed only to care for infants and trotters. (Mercer, 2008, 30 )

In day care centre child interaction with their caregivers encourage their development for example they read to children to be heard, they are often loaded and where television is no substitute for interaction and communication with adults. It promotes physical development of children (as), providing time, space, equipment, play materials and activities to develop gross motor skills with, such as running and jumping, as well as activities that develop fine motor, for example, color and cut. (Berk, Laura, 2009, 45)
