Post menopause is the final stage of changes in the female genital area that result in the extinction of menstrual cycles and ability to bear children. Post menopause usually occurs in the age of fifty years and then lasts for the entire life. At this stage the continuous progression of hormonal imbalance, i.e. a reduction in the concentration of hormones produced by the ovaries and increased levels of hormones produced in the hypothalamus of the brain can be realized (Ballard, 2003).
