Pre Event Preparation

In order to beat infectious diseases and other medical emergencies, pre event preparation is extremely important. The objective of having a pre-event preparation in place is to decrease reaction periods and better allow people to improvise because they have described contingencies beforehand. A pre-event preparation symbolizes tasks and obligations in increase and makes possession of prospective issues for even health staff that are engaged in the process.

Pre event preparations can be categorized in two, one related to infectious diseases and the second related to other medical emergencies like natural disasters. Let's see the similarities and differences between planning for both kinds of emergencies.

Infectious Diseases

Other Medical Emergencies

Other medical emergencies may include airplane crash, hurricanes, land sliding, fire, floods, tornadoes, tsunami, winter storms and many more. Planning for such events is different from planning for infectious diseases mainly because the requirements of the emergencies are different every time.

While preparing an emergency plan, you should consider every possible danger and threat that may happen. Identifying the hazard is the first and foremost step in this scenario. There are a few more things that needs to be considered while planning for en emergency event which includes arranging the appropriate logistics, preparing a planning and management team, a team that is able to differentiate between the casualties on the basis of them being seriously injured, moderately or minor. Next come providing the medical access to venue, the medical care required can be categorized under basic which provides first aid, intermediate, advanced and on-site hospital.

Arranging ambulance vehicles, medical equipments and considering the weather in account is also important. For each urgent situation that is expected, the plan should explain activities to be taken and associates to be made. Concern of notice will use the real urgent situation.
