Primary Forming Process

Introduction

The industry shaping metals produced many elements of our everyday objects: cars, household appliances, food boxes. This paper describes the technical implementation processes including rolling, and forging. It also presents the mechanical laws governing the thermodynamic and metallurgical behavior and evolution of the metal in these processes. The engineer has, thus, its scientific and technical knowledge to design and optimize these operations by using an "enlightened" of numerical simulation codes and the proper management of industrial equipment: Ovens, machinery, tools and resources testing and of control. However, it is important to consider health and safety issued when conducting forming processes.

Processing Metal

For each of the basic phases in the metal processing what are the specific risks and what preventive measures can be taken before them. The accident rate in the metal sector is that produced mainly by hitting with objects and tools, overexertion and projections fragments or particles that reach represent almost 60% of total accidents. As a result, and knowing the work to be done manually and it is eminently mechanical, it is normal for the body parts most affected are the hands and lower proportion of upper and lower extremities.

If struck by the fact that the second part of the body most affected are the eyes that, unlike other sectors are exposed to numerous hazards due primarily to the environment and the nature of the operations to perform. It is the technique of pouring molten metal into a mould to solidify, and this process is not generated chip. Among the machinery involved in this work is: metal melting furnace, blasting, demure, deburring, grinder etc. (Springer Science Business Media, 2011)

To study the risks and the corrective measures necessary in casting analyze separately each of the sections in which it is divided: a) Melting and casting metal. b) Manufacture of moulds. c) Manufacture of males. d) Draining. e) Trimming.: Stage is referred to the transformation of metal and alloys in a final product called casting, a cast iron drain, to be used as feedstock for conducting parts. The steel industry used for this transformation fundamentally called casting cupola, blast furnace and open-top vertical, the cargo area, and provided at its lower end doors for download from the entrance of cupola to a holding furnace or ladle. Inside is lined with refractory material. (Springer Science Business Media, 2011)

Mould making

The process of manufacturing, wood and other elements, modeling the same so that the piece you want to get, but to compensate for higher dimensional contraction of the metal after casting. The risks involve inhalation or ingestion of harmful substances during the different work processes, overexertion, fire in the lining of the mould, excess calluses by the process. Preventative measures include containing diseases due to exposure to various products of thermal decomposition when the phenolic resin in contact with hot metal plate. Avoid these substances come into contact with skin and eyes. It is recommended to have local exhaust to handle mixtures of sand containing ...
