Race, Ethnicity, and Families

Introduction

It is significant to understand the ways which we acquire for making group distinctions. Cultural and/or biological factors are the basis through which we discrimination. The ways in which we get our own personal identity are often complex group. Similarly, the way we assign group identity to others is not always straight forward. Sometimes people start differentiating each other and label them in a way that is considered inappropriate. They may tag you in such a manner that would hurt the feelings of a person and he might feel bad about it. Ethnicity refers to the chosen cultural and sometimes physical characteristics that need to categorize people into groups or categories considered to be notably different from others.

Race

Race is a competition in your biological engineering characteristics. It can include color, skin tone, eye and hair color, as well as trends in certain diseases. This is not something that can be changed or disguised. An individual can change his or her behavior but he or she cannot be able to change the physical and biological features. (Thornton, 2000)

Racism

Racism can be defined in many ways. For some, racism is a way of life, and others, this is disgusting term, on behalf of closed awareness. Racism is the value that has come ??from different cultures, ethnic background, and physical appearance. Racial conflict, the social group most people think, different cultures and values ??of minority groups on society's bias. The United States of America is considered to be the land of liberty, autonomy and provides freedom to their citizens. It is a country that is notorious for the racial favoritism. There is a conflict with the Indians, black slavery, and against the immigration of people here who want to achieve the American dream from the beginning of this country. Racism has one of the most important issue, people are facing and fighting, and is still going on around us. (Marissa 2007)

Those people who have the same color get along together and share a cordial relationship. Every country is a melting pot of all different cultures and people from different backgrounds, standards, caste and color exists in the society. Those people who are high on racism disgrace others on the basis of ethnic background. An individual who gets the discrimination would get hurt as he has a right to get respect from others.
