Summary of the Article

The research journal based on the early pregnancy complications for child and mother. The researchers have conducted an interview from primigravida (women who are experiencing first time pregnancy) mothers of teenage and adult both. It is a cross sectional studies that, and the article contains a comparison of perinatal outcomes. The overall impact of the journal is to identify the early age pregnancy problems (Chaudhuri, Paul, Mukhopadhyay, 2010).

The purpose of the assignment

The purpose of assignment is to give the relevant information about the teenage pregnancy, and its consequences. The early pregnancy is the problem emerging in the whole world. In South Asian countries, it is through proper marriage and with the parent's happiness, but in western countries it the social problem that teenage girls are getting pregnant without marriages. The teenage pregnancy occurred when women is less than 20 years. There are several problems that can occur in the teenage pregnancy, low birth weight, preterm delivery, and most commonly still births. The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate the significance of this argument. This problem in India has come into public health problem that should be solved in order to safe life of the mother as well as the child.

The study also said that the teenager mother has low literacy rate than the mothers of adult age. The main complications that were highlighted in delivery were Birth-asphyxia, sepsis, neonatal jaundice, congenital anomalies, and death within 48 hours. The results were significant and proved that the rate of all these complications were high in the teen age primigravida than the adult age primigravida.
