Introduction

The articles discussed in this paper highlight the communication barriers in healthcare units. The focus is on the effectiveness of the use of interpreters in these nits so that the doctor can better communicate the health issues with patients. The research articles selected are work based as they give the review of the communication problems that the healthcare staff and patients go through. The aim of this paper is to analyse the researches undertaken in field of healthcare communication. So far the research models are not particularly concerned about the growing cultural diversity, or even encouraged their development. In fact, the knowledge base about diversity in health care is limited. The researcher must always specify the type of partnership account when starting a project. Of course, there are many advantages to fully involve the community in the work including an increased access to the community of study, there is a better identification of potential interviewers, a more valid interpretation of the most reliable and wide dissemination of the results. (Carolyn, 2008) On the other hand, there are disadvantages on cultural cooperation within the community as possible internal conflicts; low-interest or low income and lack of validity of certain matters arise when members of the community are employed as interviewers Therefore, the collaboration with the community is not easily and accurately being based on a clear contract benefits for the community to the researcher. The nursing situation that is accustomed to applying certain techniques centred on care to some extent could be considered invasive, and against which such relationships are established covenant with patients. Keeping in view the researches conducted on nursing, the paper analyses four research articles on the bases of how well they executed the research and the methodology used. The paper discusses the nursing studies which were collected to identify the communication issues that the patients and the nursing staff go through during the provisions of medical healthcare and consultancy. All the selected researches use qualitative research due to the nature of the study which is based on descriptive findings. For these researches, the literature search was conducted by the use of nursing journals and articles so that the researches methodology and findings are supported by the relevant literature review.

Bernard et el (2005) carried out the study which looked at the measures to improve healthcare communication. Currently, the methods of addressing the communication areas in healthcare are incomplete. According to Bernard et el (2005) the discussion addresses the article which undertook the research on the role of Spanish translators for nursing care. The study approach was based on qualitative study design in the form of surveys. (Robson, 2002) The fundamental characteristic of qualitative research is to see the events, actions, rules, and values, from the perspective of the people being studied. It is underpinned by the subjectivist tendencies, which seek an understanding of social phenomena, ...
