Introduction

Terrorism is probably the most effective foils in the choice of a tourist destination. A wrong. Almost all countries where the dangers are real, everyday refuse to accommodate tourists. The other, where terrorist activity is sporadic and localized, are continuously opening their doors safely (Augustyn & Ho, pp. 71-75). Dramatic or spectacular incidents involving foreigners - assassinations, hostage taking, kidnappings are extremely rare. So rare, in fact, they should not have any impact on tourists. Yet they have, because of the considerable publicity given to them and our complete ignorance of the phenomenon of terrorism.

The misrepresentation

It's rare, but it may be that fraudsters claiming to be police officers deal with the tourist in all kinds of excuses: verification of identity or tourist map, or collection of a tax required of all foreigners. You should never show his papers on the spot, much less pay, and above all never agree to get into a car. False police are generally not dangerous.
