Counseling is a skilled activity that involves assisting others in managing and resolving psychological, emotional, behavioral, developmental, relational, vocational, and other personal challenges (chronic or acute) in order to facilitate adjustment to changing life circumstances; promote personal growth, needs attainment, and overall Wellness throughout the life span; and prevent the development of more serious conditions (Corveleyn & Luyten, 2005). This paper discusses similarities and differences between secular and Christian counseling and provide insight into counseling styles and methods in a concise and comprehensive way.

In essence, this kind of advice is intended to build, maintain, or repair a favorable relationship between the organization and one or more markets or publics. This advice is intended to guide the senior management of the organization in its efforts to gain an advantageous position vis-à-vis its relationships with stakeholders (Corveleyn & Luyten, 2005).
